Anthony Dobson has had a keen interest in Formula One since his early years. Born in 1971 he preferred drawing fast cars to doing his homework, resulting in his first painting being sold in 1989. This led to a spate of commissions from the world of Formula One and private individuals. Having turned down a place at university in order to work on further commissions Anthony then worked on the business side of the art world as framer, printer and publisher.
Working commercially with artists and building up portfolios for clients has added to his keen eye for colour, form and line. Formula One has remained an obsession for Anthony and given his flair for the commercial, technological and creative side of art it is not surprising as this sport embodies the ultimate fusion of cutting-edge technology combined with physical fitness and high octane glamour. Anthony captures a moment in time in these Limited Edition prints of some of the iconic races and drivers of Formula One.
