Born in Manchester, contemporary artist Ged Mitchell's successful career in the art business for spans over 40 years, with work in collections throughout the UK and abroad. 

In the early years, with no formal art training, Ged chose landscape as his main subject. He quickly developed a unique style, his willingness to take risks, has remained a constant throughout his career, pursuing unique and interesting ways to be creative. Reinvention is something he believes is necessary in order to evolve and flourish. Ged has been running his own gallery and studio on the Cheshire/Staffordshire border for the past 15 years, continuing to develop his artistic style and techniques in his new medium of choice: acrylic.
